Alphacool's new quick-release coupling sets have been newly developed for safety reasons. For this reason, these couplings do not have a "click" mechanism but are screwed on with a type of union nut. This means that the couplings can no longer be accidentally unlocked.
By installing these couplings, the flow is only slightly or not at all affected. When unlocked, both sides of the coupling seal completely.
There is a 1/4" thread on both sides. This means that connections of all sizes can be used.

Note on application
Please use only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.

While I am loathe to continue buying anything AlphaCool after three pump failures in short succession, these are the easiest way to get a different system to bolt up to my existing loop. But if I have to get them from anyone, I'm happy to get them from these guys.
Not only are they very affordable, but they even helped out on the shipping costs without even being asked to. If you need these parts, you're absolutely best off getting them here.
It's not a quick release and I'm happy about. Its screws on and off easily. Vary secure especially since I made a portable cooling loop. (Not in use right now do to waterblock leak but still circulating)
